I started in care by supporting my grandmother full-time during COVID when she became fully dependent due to severe arthritis. That experience shaped my approach to care, focused on dignity, patience, and consistency. I now work as a healthcare assistant supporting clients with a wide range of needs. I have hands-on experience with personal care, mobility support (including hoists, specialist beds, and wheelchairs), stoma care, medication support, glucose monitoring, and blood pressure checks using a sphygmomanometer. I’m also experienced in pressure sore prevention, basic wound dressings, special diets, and maintaining hygiene and infection control standards. Alongside the clinical side, I place strong value on companionship and emotional support, making sure clients feel comfortable, respected, and not isolated. I’m reliable, organised, and calm under pressure, and I focus on helping people maintain as much independence and quality of life as possible......
